Nintendo eShop Prepaid Cards
ABOUT THIS CONTENT
A Nintendo eShop prepaid card is a type of gift card that can be used to purchase games and applications from the Nintendo eShop, the digital store for Nintendo Switch™ and other Nintendo devices.
You can choose from different amounts of money to add to your Nintendo eShop account, such as $10, $20, $35, or $50
To use a Nintendo eShop prepaid card, you need to redeem the code on the back of the card on your Nintendo eShop account. You can do this by selecting “Enter Code” on the Nintendo eShop menu, or by visiting the Nintendo website
Once you redeem the code, you can use the funds to buy games and applications from the Nintendo eShop.
As soon as you finish your purchase, your order will hit your inbox right away!
You can also find it anytime in your customer account.
If you don’t see the email, make sure to check your spam or junk folder, just in case.
1. Visit the Nintendo Website
- Open a web browser and go to the official Nintendo website:

2. Sign In to Your Nintendo Account
- Click Sign In in the top-right corner of the page.
- Log in with your Nintendo account credentials (email and password).
3. Go to Redeem Codes
- Once logged in, navigate to the Nintendo eShop section and find the Redeem Code option.
4. Enter Your Code
- On the Redeem Code page, type in the 16-character download code exactly as it appears on your card or voucher.
- Click Next to proceed.
5. Confirm Your Code
- A confirmation page will appear with details about the content being added to your account.
- Click Redeem to complete the process.
6. Access Your Content
- If you redeemed a game, it will now appear in your Nintendo Switch library for download.
- Redeemed funds will be added to your Nintendo eShop wallet.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Invalid Code: Double-check for typos.

Starting from August 29, 2022, Nintendo eShopCards can no longer be used to add funds to accounts on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Users who merge their Nintendo Network ID wallet (used with Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems) with their Nintendo Account wallet (used with the Nintendo Switch family of systems) can utilize the combined balance to buy content across any of these platforms until March 27, 2023. From then onwards, the balance will only be usable for purchasing content on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
