Please be aware of the following Activation Policy and Limitations.
Single Activation on One Device
- This product key is intended for use on a single device.
- Once activated on that device, it becomes tied to the hardware configuration of that specific machine.
Hardware Changes
- Product keys are generally not transferable to a different device.
- If significant hardware changes occur, such as replacing the motherboard, it may trigger the need for reactivation.
Reactivation on the Same Device
- If you make minor hardware changes or reinstall Windows or Office on the same device, reactivation may not be required.
- In some cases, reactivation may occur automatically.
Activation Limitations
- Microsoft may impose certain limitations on the number of times a product key can be activated on a specific device.
- These limitations are in place to prevent abuse and unauthorized sharing of product keys.
Phone Activation
- If online activation is not possible or encounters issues, users can contact Microsoft Support for assistance.
- Microsoft Support may provide guidance on phone activation.
Important Notes
- This policy applies to both Windows and Microsoft Office product keys, except for Microsoft 365 subscriptions, which are account-based and do not require device activation.
- OEM product keys are permanently tied to the original hardware and cannot be transferred to another device.
- Retail product keys may be transferable but must be deactivated from the previous device before reuse.
- Microsoft reserves the right to enforce activation limits and reactivation requirements based on their policies.
For further assistance, please refer to the official Microsoft Support page or contact their customer service team for activation-related issues.
